New Motion Dance Studio

Providing a well-rounded dance education for both the serious dancer and those who wish to dance recreationally.

Our faculty consists of professionally trained dance teachers. All faculty members have worked professionally with well known choreographers and have taught dance for many years.

We have had many students continue their dance study at college level and work professionally and also have some who have been accepted into national ballet and modern programs. While studying with our teachers, your child will develop top quality technique as well as a respect for the arts.

BALLET TECHNIQUE

Based on a graded syllabus that brings the dancer from the primary level through to the advanced level, providing to the proper building blocks essential in developing a technical foundation. Each student must master the requirements of each level before moving on through the program. Though taken into consideration, age is not the determining factor as to the appropriate level for each student. Students in the Intermediate and Avanced levels will have pre-pointe work and pointe work as part of their class.

CREATIVE MOVEMENT: Black or pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes

PRE-BALLET/TAP/JAZZ: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, tan tap shoes, tan jazz shoes.

ELEMENTARY - Light Blue leotard

INTERMEDIATE A and B - Royal Blue leotard

ADVANCED A and B - Black leotard

ALL LEVELED CLASSES: BALLET- Pink ballet shoes, pink tights

JAZZ- Tan jazz shoes, tan tights (or pink if back to back with ballet class)

TAP- Tan tap shoes, tan tights (or pink if back to back with ballet class)

MODERN/CONTEMPORARY- Tan tights, turners, or bare feet

MUSICAL THEATRE- Tan tights, tan jazz shoes

HIP HOP - Sneakers, leggings, t-shirt

ACRO - Black leotard, shorts or leggings, no shoes or socks. NO LOOSE CLOTHING.
